Missouri’s two big markets sit on opposite edges of the state: Kansas City on the western line and St. Louis on the eastern, each spilling across into the next state. Columbia sits between them on Interstate 70, and Springfield holds the southwest.
Around Kansas City a search in Independence or Lee’s Summit tends to return its own names. On the west side of the metro, some of the competition is across the line in Kansas. St. Louis works the same way against Illinois. Springfield and Columbia are one-town maps.
